Cytonn board taps governance and management expert

Cytonn Investments Management Plc has appointed Dr Monica Kerretts-Makau to its board as an independent non-executive director.

Dr Monica is a global policy expert in governance, change management and ICT4D sectors. She holds a PhD in Institutions and Policy Regulation from the University of New South Wales Australia and has received several accolades including the Top 100 Reputational Africans 2018 and Top 100 influential Africans 2016.

“Her expertise and vast experience in governance, risk and policy will be of great value to the Cytonn Investments Board,” the management said in a statement.

She has over 17 years of experience, having worked across various sectors such as Financial Services at Standard Chartered Bank, Advisory and Consulting at KPMG, and with World Bank on ICT policy since 2007.

She currently is among various advisory and consulting positions in policy and management, a Senior Member of Faculty at Strathmore Business School in the MBA and Public Policy programs.

She is currently a board member at NEPAD and Saham Assurance Group and serves as an Advisory member to the academic think tank on Communications Policy Research and recently represented Africa as Advisory Panel Member at World Development Report – Digital Dividends. Monica is an avid gardener and passionate environmentalist.

“We look forward to Monica’s contribution to the Governance, Risk and Policy aspects of the business and are elated to have her join the Cytonn Investments Management Plc Board,” the management says.
