National Bank of Kenya (NBK) is planning to take customers who are members of its Business Club on a business trip to China in October.
The trip will see the bank’s customers attend the famous Canton Fair held annually in China’s commercial city of Guangzhou. Customers will also tour Yiwu City, famous for its small commodity trade and vibrant market.
Giving details of the trip, National Bank Director, Retail Banking, Cromwell Kedemi said the business trip was part of the club initiatives to network and equip members with skills necessary for their growth and continuity.
‘The business trip will give our members an opportunity to interact with experts from construction, textile, household and electrical appliances, IT, petrochemicals, industrial products and automobiles sectors in the cities of Yiwu and Guangzhou,” said Kedemi.
The National Business Club has been one of the pillars of customer-value proposition plan targeting medium and growing sectors. It addresses specific needs identified from customers that belong to the bank.
Through the club, the bank has created a platform for growth by offering business solutions and advisory services to the entrepreneurs and supporting them to grow with the Bank.

“The Club has been providing Business Advisory services to members through seminars in various parts of the country by collaborating with various experts in the financial sector and now we are offering better opportunities for them to create international networks to enable them grow their businesses,” Mr. Kedemi said.
Registration for the trip is ongoing until 17th October 2018.
