Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of the Galaxy S26 FE in Kenya, expanding its premium smartphone lineup. The new model marks the debut of Samsung’s One UI 9 operating system within the flagship line, integrating upgraded camera systems and context-aware artificial intelligence designed to simplify daily tasks for consumers across the country.

The device comes at a time when Kenyan consumers are increasingly seeking high-performance mobile phones that offer durability, advanced utility, and long-term software support. According to Samsung, the design and functional choices in the Galaxy S26 FE directly reflect changing consumer expectations for reliable everyday technology. Executive Vice President and Head of Customer Experience Office at Samsung Electronics, Jay Kim, noted that the device was purposefully created to bring the core strengths of the flagship series to a broader audience.

Manish Jangra, Head of Mobile Experience at Samsung, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering tailored solutions. “The Kenyan market represents one of the most vibrant mobile ecosystems on the continent, where technology serves as a vital engine for productivity, entrepreneurship, and everyday communication,” said Jangra. “With the Galaxy S26 FE, our objective is to lower the barrier to premium mobile experiences by providing our Kenyan customers with advanced AI productivity tools, reliable performance, and an exceptional camera, ensuring that cutting-edge technology remains useful and accessible to everyone.”

To address the demanding schedules of modern users, the Galaxy S26 FE incorporates key hardware and software enhancements built for sustained performance. The smartphone features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a robust 4,900 mAh battery capable of reaching a 69 percent charge in approximately 30 minutes using a 45 W adapter. Furthermore, to protect consumer investment over time, Samsung has committed to offering up to seven generations of operating system upgrades and seven years of security updates for the device, alongside an IP68 rating for dust and water protection.

Embedded features such as My FanCam automatically center subjects during video recording, while Super Steady with Horizontal Lock ensures stable filming during movement.

Photo Assist and Gemini Omni capabilities allow users to edit images using natural language prompts and automatically assemble gallery media into polished video clips for business or personal sharing.

The Galaxy S26 FE is scheduled for official commercial availability starting September 4 across select retail channels and partner stores in Blueberry, Pistachio, and Graphite finishes. The 8+256GB will retail at KES 103,100 and to support seamless digital migration, the device features an updated Smart Switch tool for rapid wireless data transfers from both Android and iOS platforms.

Local purchases will also include comprehensive protection through Samsung Care+ and a complimentary six-month trial of Google AI Pro, offering expanded cloud storage and advanced productivity suite features.
