Home Afrika Net Profit Up 11.7% to hit KSh 117.89m in 2025

Home Afrika Limited, a Listed Real Estate development company based in Nairobi, made a net profit of KSh117.89m in 2025 from KSh 133.47m in 2024, while Revenue declined 34.9% to KSh 508.67m in 2025 from KSh 781.91m, a fall of 34.9% largely driven by timing of income recognition from Migaa PDS leases and HAL Smart Plots.

Home Afrika profitability strengthened with Gross Margin improving by 54.9% while Net Margin rose to 23.2%.

Home Afrika Balance Sheet Needs Repair

On its cash flow and balance sheet, Home Afrika operating profit increased by 29% to KSh 396.33m while total liabilities fell by 21.4% to KSh 4.77 Bn. Accumulated losses declined by 51.7% to KSh 1.14 Bn. No dividends were declared with equity remaining in negative territory at KSh 1.03Bn. Total assets grew 0.1% from KSh 3.7Bn in 2024 to 3.74Bn in 2025.

The firm’s pre-tax profit fell 18.2% from KSh 145.07m in 2024 to KSh 118.73m in 2025.

Financial analysts maintain that while Home Afrika profitability and cash generation are improving, the balance sheet still needs repair. Sustained earnings and potential recapitalization will be key in restoring shareholder value.

Also in this list is Mitini Scapes- An 82-unit (apartments and villas) premier housing development located within the luxurious Migaa Golf Estate, a gated community off Kiambu Road in Kiambu County.

  • Cost discipline and liability reduction are working but the balance sheet still tells the real story. The overall financial position still needs fixing though they are managing costs better and reducing debt.
