Fans planning to attend this year’s Safari 7s will part with as little as Ksh 300 to watch the action at Nyayo National Stadium in October.
The Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has announced that tickets for the opening day, October 10, will go for KSh300, with spectators allowed to sit anywhere in the stadium. For the weekend games on October 11 and 12, early bird tickets are also priced at Ksh 300, advance sales at Ksh 500, while entry at the gate will cost Ksh 750 per day.
Supporters keen to follow the entire tournament can purchase a season pass for Ksh 1,000. KRU has also set aside a VIP category, with tickets going for KSh2,000 on early bird, KSh2,500 in advance, and Ksh 3,000 at the gate. A VIP season ticket is priced at Ksh 5,000. Tickets are already available on Tikohub.com.
The federation says the pricing structure is designed to make the three-day festival accessible to all rugby fans while still offering premium packages for those seeking a more exclusive experience.
This year’s competition will be the 27th edition of the Safari Sevens, one of Africa’s most prestigious rugby tournaments. It will feature men’s, women’s and youth categories, with teams expected from Uganda, Zimbabwe, Zambia, South Africa and Tunisia alongside Kenya’s Shujaa, Morans, Lionesses and Cubs.
The tournament also marks the return of the Safari Sevens to Nyayo Stadium, which last hosted the event in 2021 when Shujaa lifted the trophy after defeating Germany in a thrilling final. The stadium has since undergone major renovations, making it a fitting venue as fans gear up for what is expected to be a lively sporting and cultural spectacle.
