MONDAY

Launch and Listing of NewGold ETF

On Monday, the 27th  March, the Nairobi Securities Exchange will launch Exchange Traded Funds with the listing of the NewGold ETF, a product by the Barclays Africa Group Limited. Time:7.00 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. Venue: Capital Club, Nairobi. (Kilimanjaro)

The launch will be led by

  1. Henry Rotich, Cabinet Secretary, The National Treasury,
  2. Paul Muthaura, The CEO, Capital Markets Authority,
  3. Jeremy Awori, Managing Director, Barclays Bank of Kenya
  4. Anthony Kirui, Head of Markets, Barclays Bank of Kenya.
  5. Kamau Thugge, Principal Secretary – The National Treasury and Director, Central Bank of Kenya

Oman Air Launches its new services between Nairobi and Muscat on 27th March

The launch comes in the wake of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)undergoing extensive upgrading and modernisation work aimed at securing its position as a regional hub for air transport. JKIA has been named the 5th best airport in Africa in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) awards.

Surf and Facebook Express Wi-Fi launch

On Wednesday, March 29th, Surf and Facebook will officially launch Express WiFi by Facebook in Kenya. Mark Summer, CEO, Surf.co.ke, Richard Hechle, CEO, Internet Solutions, and Uche Ofodile from Facebook, will officially launch the service. Time – 10.00 am. Venue – Ongata Rongai – Beatus Coffee House
