Two MPs were arrested on October 22 over the recent spate of deadly clashes in Marsabit County that left 14 people dead.

North Horr MP Chachu Ganya and Saku MP Ali Rasso were arrested early Monday in connection with the violence.

The two have been taken to Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters in Nairobi and will be arraigned in court after their names became adversely mentioned as the influential people inciting communities in the region against each other.

Several meetings have been held in the region in the past week to find the root cause to the problem and to as well end the hostilities.
