Total Kenya taps Nigerian oil expert as Managing Director

Total Kenya Plc has tapped Nigeria national Olagoke Aluko as Managing Director and member of its board, an announcement made in a notice to the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) on October 3.

Mr. Aluko is a downstream oil and gas expert and a long serving employee of the Total Franchise having worked for the organisation in different capacities in seven different countries since the year 2000.

Before this appointment, Mr. Aluko has been working as General Manager Operations at Total Nigeria Plc, a position which he had held since April 2015.

He has also been serving as General Manager Human Resource and Corporate Affairs of Total Nigeria since November 2012.

The company also announced that it had enlisted the services of Ms. Severin Julien as a director.

Both Mr. Aluko’s and Ms. Julien’s appointments became effective at the close of business on October 1 when their predecessors left the company.

Mr. Aluko replaces Ms. Anne Solange Renouard who resigned as Managing Director and Director of the company while Ms. Julien replaces Mr. Jerome Burban, a Director. Both of them resigned on October 1.

The company’s board is now fully constituted with Jean Philippe Torres serving as chairman and Mr. Aluko as MD.

Joe Muchekehu, Joseph Karago, Margaret Shava, Stansilas Mittelman and Ms. Julien are the other 5 members of the board serving as directors.
