Telkom has launched 4G Bomba, a data offering targeted at the data-heavy youth segment, allowing ultra-fast speeds that match their lifestyles.

Speaking on the announcement, Telkom CEO Aldo Mareuse says that the 4G Bomba offering has been tailored for the increasingly data-hungry millennials for its speeds, capacity, quality, reliability and reach.

“We are excited to announce 4G Bomba for our millennial subscribers who will now enjoy faster and more reliable Internet by way of 300 LTE sites around Nairobi. Cognisant of their progressive and fast-paced lifestyle, we believe 4G Bomba is a perfect fit to their daily data needs. Subscribers will experience smoother live streaming, faster downloads and uploads, sharing of video and audio content which are every part of the data-savvy millennials segment of our mobile market,” says Mareuse.

The 300 sites around Nairobi have been strategically positioned to service Nairobi consumers with a wide coverage around Central Business District stretching to Nairobi environs in Ruai, Utawala, Kiserian, Rongai, Kiambu, Thika and Kitengela, among others, assuring Kenyans optimized internet service with convenience and value, key brand focus points.

The roll-out of the LTE sites around Nairobi is part of Telkom’s long-term modernization programme that began two years ago, focusing on two key areas; the expansion and enhancement of its network.

“The additional sites will ensure the reliable delivery of high-quality Internet throughout Nairobi on a stronger network and therefore increased Internet availability, transmission and reduced network downtime,” adds Mareuse.

Telkom’s 4G Network, is now available in more than 30 major towns and urban areas in Kenya, enhancing the quality of internet service across the country
