Gatundu South Mp Moses Kuria has retraced his statements regarding development negligence by Jubilee administration shortly after the president told him off regarding his claims.

While launching Mama Ngina waterfront project in Mombasa today (Monday), the president said that development is meant for every Kenyan and not certain regions.

“Hawa Washenzi waniwache (These fools should let me be) development is for every Kenyan in every region and that is our focus as an administration,” said president Uhuru.

However, the legislator claims that the president and his  has forgot about the Mt Kenya region in terms of development of infrastructure.

In his official Facebook account, the MP wrote that, “H.E the President is 100% right. He is spot on. We need development in every corner of this country. It is in that spirit and in line with the President’s position that I believe Mt Kenya region also deserves development just like any other region. Right now it’s not happening.”

The MP had urged the residents of Mt Kenya region to think critically ahead of the general elections if they were voting machines.

“We must think and make wise decisions when voting in 2022. After we vote the government takes development to other regions. This nonsense must stop,” said Mr Kuria.
