PrideInn Beach Resort and Spa has bagged two prestigious awards during the recently held World Travel Awards (WTA) ceremony at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
The awards, Kenya’s leading conference hotel and Kenya’s leading family resort 2022, cements the coast-based resort as one of the country’s finest.
In a colourful gala dinner attended by who is who in the hospitality industry drawn across Africa and India, WTA named PrideInn Paradise as the winner in those two categories thus trouncing a number of renowned hotel brands.
Those nominated alongside the Mombasa-based resort in the conference category included Fairmont The Norfolk and Movenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi, among others.
In the leading family resort 2022 category, PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort and Spa beat five other hospitality heavyweights. The nominees in this category were Baobab Beach Resort and Spa and Enashipai Resort and Spa, among others.
Speaking after receiving the awards, PrideInn Hotels, Resorts and Camps Founder and Managing Director Hasnain Noorani said the recognition speaks volumes about the tremendous work being done by the staff at the resort and across its other hotels and camps spread across Kenya.
“We are extremely proud of today’s continental recognition. It is an honour to see our flagship hotel named the winner in the two major categories by the world’s leading travel awards body,” Noorani said.
“The awards affirms our promise to deliver PrideInn’s signature world-class hospitality and exceptional guest experiences throughout our hotels and resorts in this country.”
World Travel Awards Founder Graham Cooke commended PrideInn Paradise Beach Resort and Spa for the two significant wins saying the Kenyan brand was changing business and leisure tourism in the country.
“Without a doubt, the PrideInn franchise is setting the pace for other players in the hospitality sector. Today’s recognition is an affirmation of the work that the hotel is doing in Kenya,” Cooke said on the side-lines of the ceremony.
This is not the first time that the prestigious awards have recognised the luxurious resort. In 2021, the resort was nominated in various categories and won Kenya’s leading family resort.
Since its opening in 2015, the hotel has been breaking boundaries in Kenya and across the East Africa region.
The resort enjoys a white sandy beach and a world-class convention centre. It has 240 rooms and the largest convention centre in the coastal region with a 2,500 delegates capacity.
The resort also has impressively manicured grounds for weddings, product launches, and team building.
Apart from conferences, families from across the globe flock to the hotel to experience its world-class amenities including one of its kind aqua park, that has cemented its place in the hearts of kids.
In 2019, the resort became the first facility in Mombasa to achieve a five-star rating.
