Mombasa’s Tapas Cielo launches luxury cocktail menu

Coast luxury bar and restaurant, Tapas Cielo has launched its new Luxury Cocktail Menu. The refreshed menu has been worked on by top Tapas Cielo Bartenders and EABL Reserve Brand Ambassador, who would stop at nothing but to offer their guests the best. Among the new signature cocktails are Old Fashioned Johnnie Walker and Long Island, among others.

Speaking at the launch, Tapas Cielo Managing Director Sam Rabadia said the luxury cocktail menu aim is to give our patrons a chance to taste some of the world’s most delicious meals, right here in Mombasa.

“Why go somewhere else, when Tapas Cielo has got the perfect menu just for you. Tapas is not compromising on quality. It is offering top notch services to its guests,” said Mr Rabadia.

The launch comes barely, three months after Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) and Diageo have concluded a free business training programme for bar owners and managers in Kenya on global best practice for profitably running an entertainment outlet.

The three-day programme dubbed ‘Business of Bars’ is run in partnership with US-based Barmetrix, a bar business and commercial consultancy.

Speaking at the launch, Diageo Brand Ambassador, Douglas Duncanson said: “We are excited to be part of this transformational initiative. It is an opportunity to enrich our value chain to world-class standards. This programme is rich with invaluable information to empower Kenyan drink establishments as they take their businesses and the industry as a whole to the next level”.

The ‘Business of Bars’ programme is the result of research and data collated by top hospitality industry professionals. The programme is also being implemented in other African countries, including South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Seychelles.

‘Business of Bars’ programme offers direct support to venue managers and owners, through the various modules, while delivering insights and inspiration for best practice, to support optimisation of business profitability.

Barmetrix has worked with over 4,000 of the world’s top 1% drinks establishments to discover the secrets of truly successful businesses.

The programme has received positive reviews from the bar owners who have participated in, describing it as “Positive, focussed and immediately monetisable” and “Best and most impactful courses I have ever taken”.
