At MultiChoice, Local Content Is Taking The Lead

The year 2021 might be steadily coming to an end, but Multichoice says it management isn’t slowing down in deliver amazing African entertainment. The company is speeding things up to help viewers beat the end of year slump by offering the much needed break from reality.

The MNET East and Southern Channel has added two brand new channels. Maisha Magic POA (DStv Channel 144) has been tailor-made to give viewers access to even more exhilarating, locally produced content. It will feature shows such as Kapuni and Huba among others.

For movie lovers, there is Maisha Magic Movies (DStv Channel 141). This channel has been curated with Ugandan, Kenyan and Tanzanian audiences in mind, working alongside local producers in these regions to give the best content. This means that we are able to produce and share world-class content that meets viewers unique needs.

DStv and GOtv are the go-to platforms for Pan-African content, and they make sure they have something for everyone. Content not only resonates with everyone but covers the West, East and South parts of the continent.

Entertainment from the East

If you’re in East Africa Mambo Moto (DStv Channel 140) should already be on your radar. The channel features Swahili dubbed content, with international favourite First Run Films sharing must-watch content with us. Maisha Magic East (DStv Channel 158 & GOtv Channel 4) is another crowd favourite – you can catch PeteSelina and Date My Family Kenya right here.

As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also Maisha Magic East Plus (DStv Channel 163), Pearl Magic (DStv Channel 161), Pearl Magic Prime (DStv Channel 148) and Maisha Magic Bongo (DStv Channel 160). Some of the shows to look forward to are: Kovu (Maisha Magic East Plus), Prestige (Pearl Magic) and Danga (Maisha Magic Bongo).
