The Public Service Commission (PSC) has listed six candidates who will be interviewed for the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) Governor’s post.

In a statement, PSC said that interviews for the six candidates will take place on May 9, 2023. The six are seeking to succeed the current governor Dr Patrick Njoroge whose term ends in June.

They include Dorcas Muthoni Mutonyi, Haron Sirima, Edward Sambili, Nancy Onyango, Adan Abdulla Mohamed and Kamau Thugge.

The interviews will take place at the PSC Commission House on Harambee Avenue between 9am and 3pm.

“Candidates should be at the venue at least 15 minutes before starting time,” the notice reads.

Mutonyi will be the first to be interviewed at 9 am followed by Kirima at 10 am.

Sambili will come in at 11 am followed by Onyango at noon while Mohamed will face the panel at 2 pm ahead of former Treasury PS Thuge at 3 pm.

The successful candidate will be appointed for a term of four years, renewable once, subject to performance.

Before his appointment to CBK in 2015, Njoroge served at International Monetary Fund (IMF) as an economist.
