Latino-themed restaurant opens in Nairobi

Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi opened its Latino-themed restaurant La Mesa, located on the 15th and 16th floors of the hotel.

La Mesa offers a vast variety of customary and contemporary tapas as well as home-made sangrias accompanied by flawless Latino sounds with stunning views of Nairobi’s night lights.

“We are delighted to be launching La Mesa just as World Cup season is here for sports fans, La Mesa is the go-to place with its ambiance and live sports screens,” said General Manager Andreas Flückiger.

Open on Monday – Thursday from 4.00 pm to 11.00 pm, Fridays 4.00 pm – 1.00 am, Saturdays 2.00 pm – 1.00 am and Sundays from 2.00 pm – 11.00 pm, La Mesa will be an ideal place to hang out while enjoying fantastic views across the city.

Since Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts made its debut in Kenya in April with the official opening of Mövenpick Hotel & Residences, Nairobi, the hotel is already getting great reviews with its big spaces, personalized service and great culinary experiences.

The upscale property features 276 spacious rooms, suites and residences, and has introduced new and exciting dining, leisure and events concepts to the Kenyan capital. Mövenpick’s commitment to culinary innovation and excellence is showcased through the property’s five distinct dining experiences: La Mesa restaurant; Baluba an all-day dining venue showcasing themed buffets and local produce. This restaurant is located on second floor and with African décor, the ambience is relaxed and appealing. Themed buffets, live cooking stations and tempting delights are available for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as a range of à la carte options. healthy shots are also available for breakfast. Guests can enjoy their Sunday brunch and Nairobi’s biggest burgers in Baluba restaurant.

The View, a revolving restaurant offering stunning 360-degree panoramas of Nairobi City and traditional Swiss specialities is located on the 24th floor of the hotel. This restaurant offers the stunning views of the city and an exceptional Swiss dining experience and a range of tempting menu options including a variety of fondues and other traditional Swiss favorites.

Kijani Bar, next to the outdoor pool, offers inventive cocktails and light snacks as well as a wide range of international beverages. The bar is the perfect place to unwind with creative concoctions freshly made from local ingredients by the best mixologist.

The Lobby café presents Mövenpick’s signature coffees, international teas and handcrafted cakes, as well as our Brand Signature the Chocolate Hour that runs daily from 4.00 pm – 5.00 pm.
