Rwanda’s capital is set to host the fifth International Conference on Public Works and Infrastructures which will be held at the Kigali International Convention Centre and will run from Thursday to Friday this week.

Discussions in Kigali will focus on how to foster African economic growth in the face of infrastructural challenges.

Seven themes including visits to innovative construction and infrastructure projects, will explore new approaches to construction and infrastructure that illustrate the need to take advantage of the wave of innovative solutions.

The organizers of the conference, The International Kaizene Company chose Rwanda because of the country’s insistence on sustainable development.

Rwanda’s national reconciliation, territorial reconstruction, modern infrastructure, good governance, a well maintained road network and world renown cleanliness also appealed to the organizers.

Speaking to Business Today on Tuesday while inviting companies to attend the conference, Kaizene Managing Director Lynda Aphing urged companies and organizations to seize the opportunity which presents immense business opportunities.

Ms. Aphing said, “Presence at the Conference will also provide unparalleled opportunities to meaningfully engage leaders and decision-makers at the forefront of the world’s next major growth market, Africa.”
