POSH I.T, in collaboration with the AI-powered creative education platform ArtsEnvoy.ai, has announced the official launch of the Kenya Edition of the Africa AI Creators Academy – a groundbreaking pilot program designed to equip Kenyan artists, content creators, educators, and digital entrepreneurs with cutting-edge skills in creative artificial intelligence (AI).

Slated to begin on 30 June, 2025, this one-month immersive program offers Kenyan youth access to over 100+ AI-powered tools – including video generators, scriptwriters, music makers, and art creation platforms – along with expert-led training sessions, peer learning, and a final creative showcase.

The Kenya edition of the Africa AI Creators Academy is part of a pan-African initiative aiming to democratise access to the AI economy through culturally relevant, story-first training. Unlike many expensive, fragmented platforms that drain credits or require multiple subscriptions, ArtsEnvoy.ai provides an all-in-one solution tailored for creatives. Whether building a short film, designing a social campaign, or crafting a poetry book, students can ideate, create, edit, and export – all in one platform.

“This isn’t just a course. It’s a movement to unlock the creative and economic potential of AI for Kenyan youth,” states Oscar Mwai, Founder of POSH I.T. “We’re proud to pilot it right here in Kenya where digital innovation meets storytelling.”

“As a filmmaker and AI artist myself, I’ve seen firsthand how creative AI can open doors – not just to technology, but to self-expression, entrepreneurship, and impact,” states Emmy-winning filmmaker, Lisa Russell, Founder/CEO of ArtsEnvoy.ai. “This is about building local talent for global influence.”

By putting AI tools directly into the hands of young creatives, this Academy is helping to shift the power of the creative economy away from traditional gatekeepers. With AI, students can write their own scripts, produce films, design campaigns, and distribute their work, without needing expensive software, industry connections, or institutional approval.

The Kenya cohort will include over 30 short video modules, weekly live sessions with mentor, Lisa Russell, and 5,000+ AI credits per student to experiment and build their portfolios. The program is open to filmmakers, designers, musicians, poets, educators, and creators of all backgrounds who want to learn how to use AI ethically and creatively.

Applications are now open for students across Kenya.
