InterContinental Nairobi has appointed Oliver Geyer as its new General Manager.
This follows the exit of Dieter Franke who heads to Egypt as Area General Manager of the InterContinental Hotel Group.
Until his appointment, Mr. Geyer was the Resident Manager who had been working closely with Mr. Franke for the past two years.
“I am very excited to be appointed as the General Manager of InterContinental Nairobi, a hotel that is soon celebrating its 50th anniversary having opened doors in 1969. The InterContinental Nairobi is committed to achieving even higher levels of customer and other stakeholders’ experience in our services and relationships,” Mr. Geyer said in a statement to newsrooms.
He has extensive experience of over 23 years in the hospitality industry. He has spent the last 8 years of his professional life working at InterContinental Hotels in Europe and East Africa.
Geyer, 45 is married with two children. He is an avid traveler and and loves tennis which he plays at his leisure time.
