Recently, Lang’ata MP Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o made a post celebrating the launch of Tibu Health Africa at the recently launched MyTown Mall in Karen.
In his statement on Instagram, Jalang’o said the facility opens up Lang’ata for more business, even as business ventures 2flock the new facility.
“New business alert! TIBU Health Africa @tibuhealth have just opened their new branch in Karen ward, Langata constituency, located at our newest mall MY TOWN MALL. Walk in and enjoy their state-of-the-art health services. Langata is open for business,” Jalang’o stated.
Located 13 kilometres southwest of Nairobi CBD and west of the Ngong Hills, MyTown Mall was developed by MySpace Properties targeting the high-end market in Karen.
The facility, sitting on a 2.43-acre piece of land, prides itself on facilities such as clothing and fashion outlets, restaurants, hospitals, chemists, banks, coffee shops, fast food joints, retails shops, a petrol station, and a supermarket among others.
The mall draws its concept from the need of top brands to maintain a physical presence even as they embrace online business.
“You’re the investor we always look up to, and we truly value the employment opportunities you’ve brought to our constituency,” Jalang’o told MySpace CEO Mwenda Thuranira.
Thuranira says the birth MyTown concept was a result of “a dare to dream moment” seven years ago, which he intends to replicate in several towns.
“Seven years ago, I dared to dream and today I am here in reality having climbed the mountains of my dreams one step at a time,” Thuranira said in December 2023 during tha opening of 27th Chandarana Foodplus branch at MyTown Mall.
So far, several brands have embraced Thuranira’s idea of Mytown Mall in Karen including Total Energies, Wana Meat, Optica, Kary’s Hair Studio and Nail Bar, Lorenzo Drycleaners, Mega Wines Ltd, Mika Appliances, Life Med Pharmacy and lately Tibu Health Hospital.
“In this, we are grateful for we know if we would have walked alone, we would be fast, rather we have come this far because of the spirit of togetherness,” he added.
Other initiatives by MySpace Properties
Thuranira is also the mastermind behind SunPark Resident, a residential property located along Chady Road, off Mombasa Road just behind Gateway Mall.
On February 9, 2024, Thuranira announced an offer for exclusive getaway tickets to a destination of choice for the first five clients who reserve or purchase a house at the Sunpark Open House event on February 17 and 18.
