Inchcape Kenya has officially launched the New Holland Agriculture distribution business in Kenya, marking a new chapter in powering agriculture mechanisation in the country.

Farmers and key agriculture stakeholders can now access the full range portfolio of New Holland products, spare parts and after sales services in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru, Kisumu, Eldoret and Kitale Inchcape Kenya Showrooms. The range includes versatile and high- performance tractors designed for efficiency, comfort, and a wide variety of agricultural applications, along with combine harvesters that deliver reliable performance across different crop conditions.

To ease the acquisition Inchcape Kenya together with bank partners has also introduced a 95% financing options in partnership with banks with 1-year Free Insurance.

“As the official distributor of New Holland Agriculture in Kenya, Inchcape is now exclusively selling tractors and combine harvesters, you get the full range. But selling is not the only solution we are offering. Our role covers across distribution, after-sales support, parts availability, field service by our great team, and above all, customer education on New Holland Agriculture,” said Ms. Mwangi.

Ms. Mwangi noted that Inchcape Kenya is further scaling its support to farmers by partnering with banks to offer flexible financing options.  “In collaboration with partner banks, we are offering flexible financing options of up to 95% of the tractor value, payable over 60 months with one-year free insurance,” she said.

While underlying the commitment of the government to support the private sector in the mechanisation of agriculture, Ms. Mercy Wanjau, Secretary to the Cabinet of Kenya, representing the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development Mutahi Kagwe, termed the entry of New Holland Agriculture in Kenya as game changing, owing to the great innovation and partnership with Inchcape Kenya which has outlets in several parts of the country.

“As we speak, Kenya’s mechanization rates are some of the lowest worldwide, and most farmers are still doing everything by hand. This despite the fact that agriculture employs 40% of our people and 70% in rural areas. We are committed to changing that, because mechanization means better harvests, less waste after harvest, and more money in farmers’ pockets,” said Ms Wanjau.

The Secretary to the Cabinet of Kenya noted that the government is fully committed to backing public-private sector agriculture partnerships effort while making sure the advantages spread to farmers in every corner of our country.

Mr. Vincent De Lassagne, New Holland Vice President for Middle East & Africa said: “Inchcape Kenya is not only a Distributor — it is a true strategic partner. A partner that understands local needs, stands close to farmers, and shares our commitment to excellence.”.

Francis Agbonlahor, Managing Director of Inchcape Africa hailed the progress of the partnership, terming it as important in advancing Kenya’s agricultural sector. He said: “Our purpose is to bring mobility solutions to people and businesses. Today, farmers across Kenya can access global innovation and operational excellence in their farms with New Holland Agriculture – now exclusively at Inchcape Kenya.”

In June 2025, Inchcape Kenya added New Holland Agriculture to its portfolio to enable farmers to transition from subsistence to sustainable farming. Inchcape Kenya has plans to expand their footprint in Meru and Nanyuki. Kenya’s agriculture equipment market is worth USD 1.2 billion with gaps in mechanisation. Only a small fraction of smallholder farmers can access financing for equipment, with basic tractors costing upward of Ksh 2 million.

The agriculture sector plays an important role in Kenya as major source of income, particularly to rural households where agriculture is the main source of livelihoods. More importantly, agriculture is an important source of foreign currency through exports of agricultural commodities.

New Holland Agriculture will continue to provide its broadest product range, including TT Series tractors which complement power with economy; TD Straddle tractors which are suitable for a wide range of applications; TS6 and 10S Series tractors which are used for land preparation, cultivation, or haulage; high horsepower tractors to operate machinery and cover more ground in less time; and the TC Series combine harvesters which provide dependable performance for mixed and small-scale farmers in varied crop conditions.
