Illya Frank Replaces Mumbi Maina As Zara On SALEM

Mumbi Maina, best known for her role as Zara on the hit telenovela Salem will be replaced by Ilya Frank effective 15th August 2022.

“On behalf of the Maisha Magic Plus Team and Zebra Productions, we would like to thank Mumbi for her patronage and sterling performance,” said Margaret Mathore, Maisha Magic Plus Channel Head.  “We equally wish her all the best for her new endeavors” she concluded.

Illya Frank is no stranger to the Kenyan television and entertainment space.

She first hit the small screens in her debut performance on Reality Show, Nairobi Diaries, and later played a key role in a comedy series Disconnect as Belinda and on Maza TV as Keisy Brown.

Her latest role has been in the epic telenovela, Kovu, where she plays the character Tasha which aired on Maisha Magic Plus and now broadcasting on the sister channel, Maisha Magic East.
