Anticipation is building ahead of the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN), set to kick off on August 2 and run through August 30 across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania. In Kenya, football fans can now begin securing their tickets as the Local Organising Committee finalises preparations.

Here’s everything you need to know about how to get your CHAN tickets and enjoy one of Africa’s biggest football events.

Ticket Sales Timeline

After a series of delays, ticket sales for CHAN matches in Kenya will officially begin on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Although initial communication from officials suggested an earlier launch on July 15 and later on July 21, the confirmed and final sale date is July 23. This announcement brings clarity to eager fans who have been waiting to purchase tickets for weeks.

Where to Buy Tickets

All tickets for CHAN 2025 in Kenya will be sold exclusively online through the official portal: chan.mookh.com. Organizers have emphasized that this is the only verified platform to purchase legitimate match tickets. Fans are strongly advised to avoid any third-party websites or agents, as counterfeit tickets will not be honoured at stadium gates.

Ticket Categories and Pricing

The organizing committee has maintained affordable pricing to ensure access for all fans. The ticket structure includes three categories:

  • Regular (Terrace) – KSh 200
  • VIP Section – KSh 500
  • VVIP Section – KSh 1,000

These rates are among the most budget-friendly in regional tournaments, mirroring pricing models in Uganda and Tanzania, where ticket prices range from KSh 129 to KSh 387, depending on the category and match.

Venues and Match Access

In Kenya, matches will be hosted at two main stadiums: the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, and the Nyayo National Stadium. The Harambee Stars, placed in Group A, will play all their group matches at Kasarani.

Each ticket purchased grants access to a single match only. Double-header fixtures at Kasarani and Nyayo will see matches begin as early as 3 PM, so fans are encouraged to plan their attendance accordingly.

Travel and Match Day Logistics

In support of regional unity and access, Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania have waived visa requirements for CHAN ticket holders travelling within the host nations. However, standard security screening and ID checks will still apply at all entry points.

To facilitate easier travel, especially on match days, shuttle buses will be available to transport fans between stadiums and key drop-off points. Details on pick-up times and routes are expected to be shared by the Ministry of Sports and Nairobi County in the coming days.

Step-by-Step: How to Buy Tickets

  1. Visit chan.mookh.com starting July 23.
  2. Create an account and verify your details.
  3. Select the match you wish to attend.
  4. Choose your seat category – Regular, VIP, or VVIP.
  5. Make payment via M-Pesa, Visa, or Mastercard.
  6. Receive your e-ticket through SMS or email.
  7. Print or save the ticket for stadium entry.

Make sure to carry a valid national ID or passport to match your ticket details during gate checks.

Final Tips for Match-Goers

Fans are urged to arrive at least an hour before kickoff due to anticipated high turnouts and security checks. For high-stakes games involving Kenya’s national team, early arrival may be the only way to guarantee smooth access.

Officials have also reminded supporters to dress in national or team colours, maintain decorum at all times, and report any suspicious activity to stadium security personnel.

Ready to Roar

As Kenya gears up to co-host its biggest football tournament in recent history, the excitement is palpable. With tickets now officially going on sale, fans across the country have a golden opportunity to be part of the action. Whether cheering on Harambee Stars or enjoying top-tier football from across the continent, CHAN 2025 promises to be a tournament to remember.

So mark your calendar for July 23, log on to chan.mookh.com, and secure your seat.

Let the games begin.
