Kenyan Premier League giants, Gor Mahia will have to play their CAF Confederation Cup playoff match against Cameroon’s New Stars De Douala on Sunday 13 January at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani without defenders Harun Shakava and Joash Onyango.

The defence duo have been suspended by Confederation of African Football (CAF) following their alleged involvement in a confrontation during last month’s Champions League qualification match against Nigeria’s Lobi Stars in Enugu.

Shakava, who is Gor’s skipper, was slapped by Lobi stars goalkeeper, John Lawrence and retaliated with a kick while Onyango allegedly came towards the referee at the end of the match and insulted him using abusive language.

Coach Hassan Otkay goes to the Sunday game without his first choice central defenders leaving him with Pascal Ogwendo, Joachim Oluoch and Charles Momanyi as the only options.
