Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) has announced the opening of a new branch in Kitui County, marking its 92nd branch in Kenya and the 161st across East Africa.

The launch of the Kitui branch aligns with DTB’s strategic expansion plan to bring financial services closer to customers while enhancing access to the bank’s diverse product portfolio. This expansion underlines the bank’s commitment to empowering communities through convenient, reliable, and customer-focused banking.

The new branch, located at Chief Kitonga Building in Kitui Town, will serve a broad customer base including local businesses, SMEs, traders, farmers, and individuals, reflecting the region’s growing economic activity and entrepreneurial drive.

Speaking during the opening, George Otiende, Director of Retail Banking at DTB, said: “The opening of the Kitui branch reaffirms DTB’s commitment to supporting economic growth across Kenya’s counties. Kitui is a key commercial hub with a vibrant SME and trade ecosystem. By expanding our presence here, we are ensuring that individuals, farmers, and businesses have access to tailored financial solutions that enable growth and long-term sustainability. We are committed to walking alongside our customers and providing services that meet their needs in a convenient and personalized manner.”

The branch will offer a full suite of personal and business banking services including accounts, loans, supply chain financing, mortgages, cards, and investment solutions. Customers will also benefit from DTB’s digital banking platforms, enabling secure and seamless transactions complemented by dedicated in-branch support.

In line with DTB’s branch expansion strategy, which has already seen the successful launch of the Mwea and Kilimani branches and the recent operational start of the Garissa branch this year, DTB remains committed to expanding its footprint.
