CIC Insurance Announces Management Changes

CIC Insurance Group PLC has announced changes to its senior management, with the Board reassigning Muyesu Luvai from his role as Director – Internal Audit to Director – Special Projects, effective December 2, 2025.

The company said the redeployment is part of a wider strategy aimed at strengthening oversight and improving the delivery of key transformation initiatives across the Group.

Luvai is a seasoned finance and audit professional with extensive experience in corporate governance. He has previously served in senior leadership roles at CIC, including acting as Group Chief Financial Officer. He has been with the Group for several years and brings deep institutional knowledge to his new role.

At the same time, the Board has appointed Mr Collins Kiriyo Ajire as Acting Director – Internal Audit. Ajire was previously serving as Internal Audit Manager at the Group.

He brings more than 12 years of audit experience, with over eight years spent in the insurance sector. Ajire joined CIC Insurance Group in 2023 and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

The Board said the appointment is intended to ensure continuity in the internal audit function while maintaining strong governance and risk oversight.

The changes were announced by the Board through the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, Gail Odongo.

CIC Insurance Group PLC is one of the leading insurance providers in the region, with operations in Kenya and across several other African markets.

The Group offers a wide range of insurance products, including general, life and medical insurance, and continues to pursue strategic initiatives to support growth and operational efficiency.
