Centum Investment Appoints New Director to Fill Casual Vacancy

The Board of Directors of Centum Investment Company Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs Mary Wangari Wamae as an Independent Non-Executive Director, to fill a casual vacancy in the company.

Mrs Wamae is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary (Kenya), with over 35 years’ experience in law, strategy, governance and leadership within the financial services sector.

She retired from Equity Group Holdings Plc in June 2024 after 20 years of service, most recently as Group Executive Director, Subsidiary Oversight, having previously served as Director of Strategy and Company Secretary.

During her tenure she held board positions across the group’s banking subsidiaries in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and the Democratic Republic of Congo and non-banking subsidiaries as well.

She is the Founder and CEO of TVG Consulting and Leadership Group Limited and serves on the board of the Strathmore University Foundation.

She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Nairobi and also holds a master’s in leadership, Innovation and Change from York St John University and has completed Advanced Management Programmes at Harvard Business School and IESE Business School.
