Britam General Insurance has partnered with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) to provide its over 40,000 members with comprehensive insurance solutions tailored to the unique needs of accounting professionals.

The strategic partnership will give ICPAK members access to a range of insurance products designed to safeguard their personal well-being, professional practice, businesses, and assets. The products include medical insurance, professional indemnity insurance, motor insurance and home insurance.

Speaking at the partnership signing, Britam General Insurance CEO and Principal Officer, James Mbithi, said the collaboration reflects Britam’s commitment to developing customer-centric solutions that address the evolving needs of professionals.

“Accounting professionals play a vital role in strengthening businesses, safeguarding financial integrity and supporting Kenya’s economic growth. The solutions provided through this partnership will not only protect their health and assets but also safeguard their professional practice against emerging risks. We are delighted with this partnership that will give members greater peace of mind and financial confidence.”

The partnership comes at a time when professionals are increasingly seeking holistic protection against both personal and professional risks. By providing convenient access to tailored insurance products, Britam aims to support ICPAK members in building resilience while enabling them to focus on their core mandate.

Similarly, ICPAK CEO and Secretary to the Council, CPA Dr. Grace Kamau, welcomed the collaboration, noting that member welfare remains a key priority for the Institute.

“Our members operate in a dynamic professional environment that requires reliable protection against a range of risks. This partnership with Britam ensures that they have access to quality insurance solutions tailored to their needs, further enhancing the value we offer as a professional body,” said Dr. Kamau.

This collaboration highlights Britam’s continued focus on forging strategic partnerships that expand access to relevant insurance solutions for professional associations, institutions and businesses across the country.
