AHI Carrier, a joint venture of Carrier Global Corporation, has expanded its footprint in East Africa by unveiling its first dealer-based Carrier and Toshiba HVAC showroom in Nairobi, in partnership with North Star Cooling Systems.

The new facility represents a decisive step in the company’s regional expansion strategy and signals a deeper, long-term investment in the country’s fast-growing infrastructure and real estate sectors.

As demand surges for reliable, energy-efficient cooling solutions across commercial, residential, healthcare and data-driven developments, the showroom positions AHI Carrier and its partners at the centre of the region’s next phase of growth.

The event was inaugurated by Ms. Afaf Kontar, CEO of AHI Carrier, together with Mr. Kishore Reddy, Managing Director of North Star Cooling Systems.

The AHI Carrier showroom has been designed as a fully integrated HVAC experience and reference centre.

It enables developers, consultants, engineers and contractors to interact directly with advanced systems, evaluate performance capabilities and make informed technology selections tailored to East Africa’s climate conditions and operational demands.

Beyond product display, the AHI facility serves as a platform for technical collaboration, certified training and project advisory services.

By building local technical capacity and supporting professional development, AHI Carrier is reinforcing its commitment to raising industry standards and strengthening the regional HVAC ecosystem.

Kenya continues to emerge as a strategic gateway for East Africa, driven by rapid urbanization, expanding commercial infrastructure and growing sustainability priorities.

The new AHI showroom enhances access to world-class climate control solutions while supporting national and regional goals around energy efficiency and resilient building design.

Speaking during the inauguration, Ms. Afaf Kontar emphasized that Kenya remains central to AHI Carrier’s East Africa strategy, noting that the showroom reflects a clear commitment to long-term partnership and local market development.

She highlighted that the facility enables customers to experience real-time operational performance and understand the measurable value of advanced HVAC technologies.

Kishore Reddy described the launch as a milestone in North Star Cooling Systems’ regional growth journey, stating that the showroom provides a collaborative environment where customers and consultants can engage directly with innovative, high-efficiency solutions aligned with evolving market expectations.

With this launch, AHI Carrier and North Star Cooling Systems reaffirm their shared ambition to deliver industry-leading HVAC technologies that are accessible, sustainable and engineered to meet the accelerating infrastructure demands of Kenya and the wider East African region.
