Motor vehicle and hospitality company, Simba Corporation, has made changes in its top echelons with Adil Popat becoming the new Group Executive Chairman effective immediately.
Until this appointment, Popat was the Group Chief Executive Officer having taken the position in 2007. During his tenure, he implemented a massive diversification strategy that has seen the business grow in both the Motor and Hospitality industry.
Dinesh Kotecha will now take over the role of the Group Chief Executive Officer where he will provide leadership to Simba Corporation’s to deliver the groups vision.
Suraj Shah has been appointed the Group’s Chief Finance Officer. He joins the group with financial expertise and he will provide leadership to the Finance function and the Procurement function. Prior to his appointment he worked at the Villa Rosa Kempinski as the Financial Controller.

Matata Munyeke and Ameet Shroff have been named as Chief Commercial Officers for Emerging Brands and Established Brands respectively. Under Mature Brands, Shroff will oversee the Fuso, Mitsubishi and BMW brands while Mr. Munyeke will lead the Renault, Mahindra, Power Systems, AFMS and SAME brands.
“The new appointments aim to better position the Group for the future, evolve the Group’s growth and improve internal and external operations. Simba Corporation has laid out a diversification strategy that aims to grow the business in the region,” the company said in a statement.
