Kids entertainment: Children are excited that schools are closed and the holidays are here. They can be a handful and turn the house upside down. That’s the joy of the holidays, but every parent would always appreciate a break from the mischief every so often.

This Easter, DStv and GOtv are coming to the rescue with a host of entertainment programmes to keep the kids glued to their screens. There is a line-up of shows from the classic Boomerang cartoons to Nickelodeon’s popular animated characters, Disney’s live-action and a collection of feature films to give kids the ultimate watch experience.

DStv will take the little ones on a mystery solving adventure with Tom & Jerry’s Meet Sherlock Holmes at10:55 am on Boomerang Channel 302 on 2 April.

It’s an extra special Easter weekend on Nick Jr Ch. 307 with holiday themed episodes of Paw Patrol at 1 pm and Blaze & The Monster Machines at 1:36 pm on 3 April. Join in the Easter adventure on Nicktoons Ch. 308 with holiday themed episodes of Peppa Pig at 5 pm and 44 Cats at 1:36 pm on 4 April.

They can also join Tom & Jerry as they go on an adventure of a lifetime caused by a bar of chocolate & a little bit of luck on Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory on 5 April at 10:55 am on  Boomerang Ch. 302.

Whether your kids enjoy the High Definition experience on television or prefer to enjoy their favourite shows on a device, with one subscription you are covered so the fun doesn’t end for them whenever, wherever with the DStv App.

GOtv Kids can enjoy Teen Titans Go! Easter Weekendon Cartoon Network Channel 67 on 2 April or catch Elinor Wonders Why on PBS Kids Channel 65 on Friday 2 Aprilat 16:05 CAT.

 There’s a special Easter Marathon STUNT on Nick Junior onSaturday 3 April and Sunday 4 April at 1pm where the kids can spend some quality time with all their favourite characters  Blaze And the Monster Machines, Bubble Guppies,  Butterbean’s Café, Paw Patrol, Rusty Rivets and Top Wing on a three-hour marathon Easter special.

Extra special shows also lined up include Guess with Jess on Jim Jam Ch. 61, Arthur on PBS Kids Ch. 65, PinCode on Da Vinci Ch. 66, The Thundermans on Nickelodeon Ch. 62 and Mira Royal Detective on Disney Junior Ch. 60.
