Celebrated Gospel music singer Daddy Owen on Thursday, November 26 unveiled a new phone accessories brand known as ‘Balance by Daddy Owen’.

The artist plans on selling a wide range of accessories including screen protectors, earphones, headphones and phone covers.

The brand will also include portable bluetooth speakers, bluetooth headsets, portable chargers and power banks.

An ambitious Owen revealed plans to have the accessories in stores across the country by partnering with dealers.

The artist revealed that he got the idea for the brand from a conversation with Macharia Thiong’o, a long time friend who is credited as the Executive Producer on several of Owen’s songs.

Owen further disclosed that talks with Safaricom to stock the accessories at their stores were at an advanced stage.

“To make sure that the brand is available countrywide we are in final talks with Safaricom for us to supply in all their shops countrywide and at the same time we are looking for interested suppliers/dealers for more partnership deals,” he wrote.

Aside from the mobile phone accessories, the brand will also incorporate merchandise and clothing.

Among items on sale will be ‘Balance’ branded hoodies, t-shirts and jackets.

Daddy Owen, an MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMA) winner, remains a popular artist and released his last single Narejea Kwako barely a month ago.

Narejea Kwako is executive produced by Macharia Thiong’o who played a key role in the accessories project.

Explaining the brand, Owen noted that he wanted it to appeal to Kenyans from all walks of life.

“Our tag line is “BE A STAR” the influence comes from the logo.. the B and the star translate to all of us letting our light shine! From the youth to mama mboga, mababi to wasee wa boda we can all let our light shine!!” Daddy Owen wrote,
