NMS Orders All Buildings in Nairobi Be Repainted Within 60 Days

The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has ordered all buildings in the county be repainted within 60 days.

In a statement,NMS Director General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Badi said colors to be applied shall be as originally approved and any changes to the same must be approved by the authority.

“Upon expiry of this notice, those not compliant shall be liable to prosecution under relevant sections of the Public Health Act,” he said.

NMS has also issued a notice inviting Kenyans interested in taking part in redesigning streets, building frontages, pavements, walkways, and green areas in Nairobi to submit their applications.

Maj. Gen. Badi said the project will be to repair, refurbish or reconstruct pavements and walkways in all wards within Nairobi County.

The NMS also plans to roll out beautification of all roundabouts, road medians, open recreational spaces, and all other green spaces.

Interested members of the public have been advised to apply to the office of the Director General within 14 days.
