They say one is an accident, two is a coincidence but three is a pattern, It is therefore fair to wonder if some artistic talents are sexually transmitted.

Few months after the confirmation of romantic relations between Kenyan Radio presenter Tanasha Donna and Bongo musician Diamond Platinumz, well our Kenyan girl is now a singer. A new title to her name.

Two days ago, Ms Donna released her song, Radio that featured fellow artist Barak Jacuzzi. In just 24 hours, the song had gained 300,774 views with 14,000 likes and 975 dislikes.  The more than 2,000 comments on the video are of mixed reactions to the ‘new talent’ the damsel has been hiding.

Radio‘ has received a lot of praise and as per this writer, it is definitely worth listening to.

It is fair to say that Ms Donna may have started her music career sometime last year after featuring in the song Ex Anaiva with artist The Storyteller. It is the only song we heard from the lady until the recent release with a year gap. The song that only has an audio version did not perform that well in the Youtube numbers until she started dating Diamond and began singing.

Then there is Hamisa Mobetto. The Tanzanian model and video vixen never released a song or thought of singing until the drama of being a side chick to Diamond surfaced.

The ugly drama may have given her a boost to start her singing career by providing a platform of many viewers and listeners, both who love and hate her.

Hamisa Mobetto first song Madam Hero which was released late last year amidst the love triangle drama between her, Diamond and Zari The Boss Lady, has over a million YouTube views. Two months later, the mother of two released another song Tunaendana which also has over a million views. Ms Mobetto’s voice is high but soft at the same time.

This year in March she released another song My Love that has gained over half a million views. It seems like the Tanzanian sassy lady is not backing down on her singing talent. Maybe an album is on the way, we never know with these celebrities.

Last year, another ugly drama broke out in Kenya that resulted with Vera Sidika singing. Before releasing her song Nalia, we all knew Ms Sidika was a socialite, period. After breaking up with Kenyan singer Otile Brown, she decided to respond the best way her lover knows how, she sang him a song to know how he broke her heart.

The song has over a million views on YouTube, but that is the only song the curvaceous Kenyan girl has released. Further, the song is a bit low average. She may have the features that make a video song lit but the message and the singing need work, a lot of work.

So, why do people, in this case women, realize that they can sing after having affairs with male musicians? Is singing the new STI? Or do they get confidence to use their voice after watching their partner sing in shows and showers?

Until scientists can give us empirical explanation after extensive research on this new phenomenon, we are waiting to see a man who will launch a singing career when dating a female songbird.
