Sauti Sol in deal to promote CBA Loop

Commercial Bank of Africa (CBA) has announced a partnership with a Kenyan afro-pop band Sauti Sol, to promote its digital revolutionary banking service, Loop.

The campaign, dubbed “The Story of us Before the Glory” will also showcase the band’s story behind the music and how their passion has grown into the success story that they are today.

CBA Loop is an integrated full banking service for customers who seek control over their finances and support for their growth aspirations. Loop comprises of various financial services such as savings, payments, investment, financial goal setting and tracking, expenditure monitoring and tracking as well as bill payments.

Head of Business Management at CBA’s New Business Ventures (NBV) Angela Muriuki said they are excited about this collaboration with Sauti Sol as it will enable them illustrate the vision behind Loop. Financial details of the deal have not been revealed but it is understood to be worth multi-million shillings.

“Loop enables the growth of its customers through its product offering, and Sauti Sol is a true representation of this through the journey of both the band and its individual members,” said Ms Muriuki.

Launched in March 2017, Loop, offered through mobile and web applications, allows for online account opening “anytime” “anywhere”. It comes with a MasterCard Debit Card that is internationally accepted and linked with exciting offers. Loop further allows customers access the strategically located designated Loop Stores, for limited services through dedicated customer service agents.

With Loop, customers can send money to mobile money or bank, pay bills or pay merchants through Paybill or directly to a Till from the Loop App. Customers can also access loans of up to Ksh 3 million, invest or set up savings goals to help one achieve short and long-term aspirations.
