Queen of Networking Sarah Karingi set to launch her second book

Sarah Karingi prides herself as the queen of networking. She is an author, a seasoned speaker and an entrepreneur with experience in building and construction, real estate and business networking.

Mrs Karingi currently is the CEO and Director of Sarma Enterprises Limited, Global Networks Investments and one of the co-directors of Miles Ahead Investment, among others.

In her new book, What Successful Business Networkers Do, which will be launched soon, she is takes the reader through all the secrets to business networking. She unravels the strategies needed to be honing the knowledge, skills and the right attitude for successful networking. Sarah has shared real life stories, advice and proven tactics that connects with the reader, she talks about the traditional networking habits, their effectiveness and efficiency in building business relationships today.

Her creativity, innovativeness and ability to create solid business relationships has enabled her to build her businesses from ground up. Her remarkable business track record has earned her notable awards. She is the recipient of the Africa Business Excellence Award 2017 from The Voice based in the Netherlands, and The Africa Business Networker Award courtesy of Innovative Thinkers.

In March 2018, she received the ABTEI Entrepreneurship Award. ABTEI roots for youth and women empowerment and honors them for their distinguished contribution to society within their spheres of influence. She received the award alongside First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed.

The launch pad to her working life was in civil service where she worked for ministry of Finance and the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) as the Principal Revenue Officer. Besides her business ventures, she holds various leadership positions where she is continually excelling.

In 2016, she founded Global Networks Investment, an organisation that offers training and consulting services to individuals and corporates on business networking. Her main objective being creation of awareness about the importance of business networking through employment of socioeconomic activities.

Mrs Karingi serves in various leadership positions including director at the United Kenya Club where she chairs the hospitality department and Director Consultant at BNI. At BNI, she has time and again excelled at being top in Kenya and East Africa at giving most business and referrals to members.

Moreover, she is a member Kenya National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KNCCI), Women in Business Kenya (WIB) and Dubai Business Women Council – an initiative of the Dubai Chamber.

In January 2018, Mrs Karingi was appointed the National Chairperson of Global Business Roundtable (GBR) Kenya Chapter. A people centered organization focusing on a person’s holistic growth in line with Kingdom principles.

She is overly passionate about connecting existing brands to prospecting opportunities. It is not enough to say that networking is her cup of tea, actually she lives, eats, and sleeps Business Networking.

Mrs Karingi is a holder of Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi, and an alumnus of Strathmore Business School where she trained in Enterprise Development. Sarah has authored the book Overcoming The Impossible, where she tells the story of her life and the challenges she’s had to overcome to be where she is today.

Still on matters education, she is a believer in the transformative power that comes with acquiring an education – it’s for that reason that she provides financial  support to a number of students in secondary schools across the country.
