World e-commerce solutions providers are expected to meet Kenyan SME entrepreneurs, businesses and corporate leaders at the e-Commerce Kenya Conference scheduled for March 5-6 at Strathmore University, Nairobi.

The conference will look into the future of e-commerce through shared knowledge, peer-to-peer conversations and engaging in networking spaces. SME entrepreneurs and businesses will evaluate new technologies, compare new products, make buying decisions, engage with world class solution providers and establish partnerships, according to conference Spokesperson Annmarie Moraa.

Ms Moraa said SME entrepreneurs and businesses attending this conference will interact with innovative e-commerce solutions that advance the move towards a faster and more efficient development of Kenya’s fast growing online retail sector.

Mr Paul Ochieng, the Strathmore University Dean of Students, said the conference themes have been carefully put together to meet both practitioners and academia interests.

‘‘Practitioners will have the platform to gain the latest industry knowledge and also unique access to solutions that focus on each core area of ecommerce besides engaging in per to peer conversations while members of the academia will exchange research and engage in cross pollination of ideas’’ said Mr Ochieng.

Ms Moraa said SME entrepreneurs and businesses delegates will also engage with C level delegates with the view to identify solutions to challenges limiting the sector’s growth.

‘’Kenya is fast changing and retailers have to constantly engage their clients. The Kenyan customer demand for convenience cannot be ignored. Delegates must therefore offer solutions to any challenges limiting customer convenience’’ said Moraa.

The e-Commerce Kenya Conference will bring together delegates both from the public and private sectors comprising policy makers, practitioners and academia.
