Red Cross closes 94 tracing cases after attack

The Kenya Red Cross Chapter has reported that all the 94 tracing cases have been closed by Thursday midday.

The relief agency has said that counseling sessions have been provided to 595 individuals.

“The call on counseling is further ongoing through our toll-free line 1199 and the KRC psychological team continues to pitch camps at Chiromo Mortuary to attend to more people in need of counseling,” read part of the circular.

The agency has appealed to the members of the public to donate blood at different pitched locations in the city as injured survivors continue to recuperate in different hospitals.

According to IG Joseph Boinnet 21 people were killed during the terrorist attack in 14 Riverside Complex.

Security forces were able to kill two terrorists as others blew themselves during the fight that lasted for more than 10 hours.

Two suspected have been arrested in Kiambu and Nyeri in connection with the attack.
