Milele FM evening co-presenters caught on video in a verbal fight in the studio will face disciplinary action over the altercation that has gone viral on social media. Kaka Zema and Doreen Nassi, popularly known as Dee, who present the DeenaZemaonDrive show between 4pm and 8pm, have meanwhile been suspended to allow the Mediamax human resources officer to take disciplinary action, sources tell Business Today.

Milele FM is owned by Mediamax, which runs K24 TV and People Daily newspaper as well as Kameme FM and other stations. The two were caught on video, and live on radio, insulting each other and, at some point, a visibly infuriated Dee seething with anger is seen hitting Zema with a folded newspaper, who tries to duck, but not quick enough to avoid contact, before returning with more verbal jabs.

DJ Slim, taken by surprise by the fight, tries unsuccessfully to mediate by asking her to calm down, but meets Dee’s wrath who dresses him down and asks him to shut up. In the video, the two seem to have differed on their roles in the show, with Zema trying to justify having been in the studio since Monday.

Also, Dee’s outburst appears to have a result of pent-up grudge she’s carried with her since last year. “I have been patient with you since last year,” she’s heard shouting to Zema, after the heated exchange where they dared each other.

At the end, after DJ Slim blocks her attempt to confront Zema physically, Dee removes her right shoe to hit her colleague who by then has gone through the door.

Milele FM boss and breakfast show host Alex Mwakideu, in a statement on his Instagram page, said he did not know why the two fell out. “Okay guys, I’ve woken up to many missed calls from my blogger buddies @ghaflakenya @mpashogram @tuko.co.ke @sdekenya etc. I honestly left jobo mapema sana Jana and I DONT KNOW what happened here!!! I will be back on Monday and I will find out and give you all feedback. In the meantime All I know watu hukosana!!! Its life…. Let’s just wait for Monday….#UkipendaPendaMilele @milelefm,” wrote the Milele FM boss.
