The talent hemorrhage at K24 appears to have no end after prime time news anchor Michelle Morgan announced her resignation on Friday.

The anchor, who made a return to the Mediamax Network-owned station after quitting in 2016, announced her resignation hours after anchoring prime time news.

Morgan, who has previously worked for Citizen TV and Ebru TV, had initially resigned to host the adventurous XOA (Xtreme Outdoors Africa) show before returning  as a host for ‘Jam Sessions’ show. She was subsequently promoted to a prime-time news anchor for the K24 Evening Edition.

He did not specify whey she was quitting though she hinted she was going back to what she loves most – adventure, the same reason she gave in 2016.

“It was a very amicable separation, but I just reached a point in my life where I think it is important to be true to myself. Being a news anchor has been my job for the past few years but during that time I cultivated a love and a passion for the outdoors activities,” she had said in a video when she resigned to join Xtreme Outdoors Africa.

On her blog and Facebook page, Michelle describes herself as someone who loves travel, exploration and adrenaline.

“I want to share my wild and free escapades with you. Whether I’m on my motorbike on an adrenaline fuelled expedition, traveling seeking new encounters and inspiration, or capturing the art of life through photography and film,” she writes.

XOA is a television series that follows its thrill-seeking presenters on exhilarating adventures across Africa.

Her resignation is a fresh blow to K24, which recently lost key anchors and editors such as Richard Kagoe, Zawadi Mudibo, Ian Wafula and Maya Hayakawa, who all left for the BBC.

However, the station is set to unveil former KTN News screen siren Betty Kyalo and is said to be in the process of acquiring more anchors, including Citizen TV’s Anne Kiguta.
