SGA Security’s deliberate focus on sustainable business practices has caught the attention of business leaders and stakeholders.

The company has been named the winner of the Netherlands Chamber of Commerce Living Planet Award 2026, under the “Celebrating a Living Planet” theme.

Award recognizes the security firm’s ability to integrate sustainability into its core operations, showcasing how businesses can create shared value for people, the planet, and the economy.

“We believe that our responsibility extends beyond providing security services to the communities and businesses we serve. This recognition therefore reinforces our belief that sustainable business practices must be embedded in how we operate every day,” SGA Security Chairman and CEO, Jules Delahaije, said.

Mr. Delahaije added that the award is a significant recognition of their commitment to doing business responsibly.

Among the initiatives highlighted were the company’s pioneering adoption of electric vehicles within its operations, demonstrating its commitment to reducing its environmental footprint in an industry traditionally dependent on fuel-powered transport. The Chamber also recognised SGA’s innovative approach to recycling old security officers’ uniforms into school bags for children, giving them a new purpose while supporting young learners.

The company’s social inclusion efforts were also recognised, particularly its initiatives to create internships for disadvantaged youth, support the Mukuru Rescue Centre, and open up opportunities for women in the traditionally male-dominated security industry.

Netherlands Chamber award citation emphasised that SGA Security’s sustainability initiatives are not standalone corporate social responsibility projects but rather reflect a broader business philosophy in which people, planet and profit can thrive together.
