The Government of Kenya has announced that it is hiring in 2026, workers across its different agencies and parastatals.
As of late 2025 and early 2026, the Kenyan government employs approximately 146,000 to 147,000 people in state corporations.
Latest, the National Council for Population and Development (NCPD), Water Resources Authority (WRA), Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST), Commission for University Education (CUE) and the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) have posted vacancies and are inviting qualified Kenyans to apply.
Vacancies at NCPD
The National Council for Population and Development is a Semi-Autonomous Government Agency (SAGA) under the National Treasury and Economic Planning that provides leadership in population policy management in the country.
It develops policies, coordinates population programs, and promotes research to align population dynamics with sustainable development and quality of life for citizens.
NCPD is looking for a Deputy Director of Population, an Assistant Director of Legal Services and one for Finance and Accounts, and an ICT officer.

Vacancies at WRA
WRA is a state corporation established under Section 11 of the Water Act, 2016. It replaced the earlier Water Resources Management Authority (WRMA), which was created under the Water Act 2002.
It operates as an agent of the national government and is mandated to safeguard the right to clean water by regulating the management and use of Kenya’s water resources for current and future generations.

Who doesn’t know MMUST, one of Kenya’s growing public universities, especially strong in applied sciences and technology fields?

Vacancies at CUE
The Commission for University Education (CUE) is the national regulator for university education in Kenya.
CUE’s core role is to ensure quality, standards, and accountability in all universities, both public and private. In simple terms, CUE acts as the “quality watchdog” of university education, ensuring that when you get a degree from any university in the country, it meets acceptable national and international standards.
CUE has announced that it is hiring – over 40 vacancies from the corporation’s secretary and director of legal services to drivers, librarians and office assistants have been posted for applicants to apply.
Vacancies at TSC
TSC is recruiting for five positions, including the re-advertised roles of deputy directors for Corporate Affairs, Labour and Industrial Relations, and Risk Management. Vacancies are also open for assistant directors for Legal Services and Risk Management. Those who had previously applied can reapply.
