MultiChoice Kenya has once again revised subscription prices for its pay-TV services. The company said on 1st October 2024 that DStv subscription would go up in November 2024.

“We would like to inform you that MultiChoice will be making adjustments to some of its DStv subscription prices effective 1st November 2024,” Nzola Miranda MultiChoice Kenya, Managing Director, said in a circular sent to subscribers.

The increase, the second this year, ranges between Ksh50 for Lite users and Ksh500 for premium customers. In the March 2024 increase, DStv rates went up Sh50 for Lite users and Ksh600 for Premium subscribers. MultiChoice Kenya did not give reason for the latest price review. (see price table below)

Across African, Miranda noted, DStv continues to offer value to its customers with a variety of packages to choose from to keep the family entertained, adding that it continues to look for ways to bring our customers the entertainment they love.

The leading pay-TV group in South Africa, reported a substantial annual loss of USD 217 million (ZAR 4 billion) on revenues of USD 3 billion (ZAR 56 billion). This financial setback is primarily attributed to macroeconomic challenges, prompting shareholders to explore potential solutions, including alternative ownership structures such as Canal+.
