KPLC Planned Power Cuts in Your Area – Sunday, June 2

Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned power cuts in three counties tomorrow, Sunday, June 2, 2024, when its engineers will be carrying out scheduled maintenance of electricity networks.

The three counties are Nairobi, Uasin Gishu and Kakamega, where hundreds of customers in its areas of Mumias town, Shibale, Mwitoti, Shianda, Lubino, Ekero, St Peter Boys, St Mary Hospital and Mumias Sugar will be plunged into darkness from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

In Nairobi County, the planned power interruption will affect Inland Container Deport (ICD), Kyang’ombe, Heavy Engineering, Tile & Carpet, Kings, Atlantis Business Park, Walstreet Business Park, Powergen Renewable Energy, Vimit Converters, Sanden Intercool (K), Enyon Ltd, Hasbah Kenya, Pilitrade Centre, Posh Autobody, Jumbo Chem and Alpha Centre.

Also, Label Converters, KenGen Godown, Kenbelt, Nyoro Construction, Patmos, Saj Ceramics, Kenbro, Ocean Group, Prime Cartons, Nice & Lovely, Rea, Manchester Outfitters and Tuskys HQ, starting at 9:00 AM and ending at 5:00 PM.

In Uasin Gishu County, the power outage will take place from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM in Sokomoko, Muyuki, Maragusi, Makutano Market, Mukuyu, Mkuyonyi Pri Sch, Evona, Mathara Dispensary Pri Sch, Lumama Sec Sch, Ivona Centre, Primary and all their adjacent customers.

KPLC regularly carries out maintenance to prevent any damage to electricity cables, lines and equipment to provide customers with a safe and reliable electricity supply.
