EABL recognized at Employer of the Year Awards

The East African Breweries Ltd has been recognised for its role in promoting learning and development of staff and creating a conducive workplace environment.

At the inaugural edition of the Employer of the Year Awards,  EABL bagged two awards, emerging as first runners-up in the learning and development category and second runners up in the work-place environment category of the awards organized by the Federation of Kenya Employers’ (FKE).

Inspiring innovation

“It confirms the standards that we have for a long time, and continue to hold ourselves to, as a premier employer in Kenya. At EABL, we are committed to helping our people realize and reach their potential,” said Paul Kasimu, EABL’s Head of Human Resources.

He said EABL has numerous training and development programmes. “EABL is home to some of the most exciting, inspirational and innovative people in the FMCG industry, passionately working with us to grow our business and nurture our brands,” he said.

Corporates participating in the awards were assessed against nine parameters – Leadership and Governance, Corporate Performance, Innovations and Productivity, Responsible Business conduct, Inclusiveness & Diversity, Work-Place Environment, Learning and Development, Human Resources Practice & Industrial Relations.

Each parameter was allocated 10 percentage points as a measure with the exception of Work-Place environment, which attracted 15 percentage points and Human Resources Practice & Industrial Relations, which attracted 25 percentage points. To participate in the awards, companies were required to fill in an online survey based on a self-assessment which was then graded against the set parameters.
