KANU party leader Gideon Moi, the scion of the late former President Gideon Moi, belongs to one of Kenya’s wealthiest families, and boasts a wide variety of business interests across sectors including hospitality, real estate, transport and logistics.
Among the former Baringo Senator’s investments in hospitality is The Lord Erroll restaurant. The restaurant, located in Nairobi’s posh Runda neighborhood, is a French gourmet restaurant that has over the years scooped various fine dining awards.
It’s history traces back to the Colonial era as it was first established by British Settlers in Kenya in the ‘Happy Valley’ era.
Lord Erroll was in 2020 named among winners of the Haute Grande Global Restaurant Awards, and was named by CNN Travel as one of the hottest restaurants of 2018. Other awards it has won include the Luxury Travel Guide and World Luxury Restaurant Awards.
The restaurant, which describes itself as the premier French gourmet restaurant in East Africa, has been in recent weeks teasing the anticipated resumption of dine-in meals, as it was temporarily closed after being affected by flooding during massive rains in 2019.
