KCB ranked best in product marketing and mobile banking

KCB Group was ranked the Best Bank in Product Marketing and the Best Bank in mobile banking during the 2017 Think Business Banking Awards.

The bank was also declared the 1st runners up in five other categories during the ceremony that was held at the Radison Blu Hotel in Nairobi’s Upper hill.

KCB Bank was awarded the Best Bank in Product Marketing after its outstanding investment in the youth proposition and the subsequent reception and success it has received with its 2jiajiri initiative.

2jiajiri is a Ksh50 billion KCB initiative set to run over the next five years aimed at imparting skills, attitudes and creating jobs that will stimulate national economy and wealth creation among new or young entrepreneurs in all sectors of the economy.

“These achievements have fully manifested our continuous commitment to strive for excellence in exceptional customer services and receive social recognition and identity,” KCB Group Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Judith Sidi Odhiambo said.

The award of the Best Bank in Mobile Banking was presented to KCB in recognition of its outstanding efforts to incorporate the latest financial technological advancements keeping up with emerging customer trends. The launch of the KCB App in 2016 saw the introduction of seamless banking transactions that completely eroded the need to visit brick and mortar institutions

Other categories the bank emerged 1st runners up in include Best Bank in SME banking, Best Bank in integrated digital marketing, and sustainable corporate social responsibility, Best Bank in Mortgage Finance and Best Bank in Micro Finance.

The 2017 Think Business Banking awards are aimed towards recognizing the efforts the financial institutions are making towards improving their financial operation services and implementing strategic core business functions that ensure they are on track towards their immediate business goals.
