Tusker midfielder Humphrey Mieno today received Ksh100,000 token from SportPesa for scoring a goal during the SportPesa All Stars versus Hull City FC match held in the UK last month. Mieno scored the lone goal for the Kenyan team, which played against a select Hull City team at Hull City’s KCOM home stadium.

The game was attended by top Kenya Premier League, Football Kenya Federation, government as well asSportPesa officials and ended 2-1 in favour of Hull City. “It felt great to score the goal. I am humbled by the support from Kenyans and thankful for the support the entire team received from SportPesa while we were at the UK,” said Mieno.

The rest of the AllStars team was given Ksh1,150,000 for the effort at KCOM translating to Ksh50,000 for each member of the team. “Our team did well considering the harsh weather. It was very cold and many are not used to playing in such weather and we commend them for doing their very best to even manage a goal,” said SportPesa CEO Ronald Karauri.

Karauri was speaking when SportPesa hosted the team to a luncheon in Nairobi today.
