There is a famous quote that states that, “Great wine requires a mad man to grow the vine, a wise man to watch over it, a lucid poet to make it and a lover to drink it all!

Unlike other types of alcohol, drinking wine is an art and that is why most high end restaurants hire sommeliers, wine professionals who specialise in all aspects of wine service as well as wine and food pairing.

A huge number of people don’t actually know the type of wine they want to buy when they walk in into a liquor store but the bottle someone buys goes a long way in telling what kind of a person they are.

Sweet Red Wine

For instance, this Valentine’s when a man decides to buy his fiancé sweet red wine that is a sign that they are romantic but that is the most common personality explanation when told from a wine perspective, so when people buy other types of wine, what does it tell about their personalities?

The difference between the most popular wines in Kenya is actually the type of grape fermented to make them.

Merlot

Referred to as the ‘easy’ wine, merlot is made from a soft supple grape grown in Bordeaux, France. It’s soft fruit flavors make it tasty even at a younger age.

When you buy yourself a bottle of merlot, you portray yourself as an easy person who is ready to mingle and the person everyone wants to associate with during balls and parties.
