Umeme Ltd Director Florence Nsubuga Resigns

Ms Florence Nsubuga has resigned as a director of Umeme Ltd. According to the listed company’s filing at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Umeme Ltd announced the exit of Ms Nsubuga on 17th November 2003.

“Umeme Limited in accordance with its disclosure obligations under the USE Listing Rules, 2021 informs its shareholders and the general public of the following changes in its Board of Directors,” Umeme Ltd said through its Company Secretary, Shonubi Musoke and Co Advocates.

The company  said at its Board of Directors meeting held on the 16th November, 2023, it received notice from Ms Florence Nsubuga of her intention to leave the company and take up a new career opportunity that has emerged in the sector.

The statement said Ms Nsubuga had served as the Chief Operations Officer since 2012 and had been serving as an Executive Director of the Company since March 2015.

“The company would like to thank Ms Florence Nsubuga for her exemplary and dedicated service to Umeme and the electricity industry,” it said. “The company would like to wish her the best in her new career/endeavours.”
