SGA Security has been awarded a three-year recertification by the International Code of Conduct Association (ICoCA), reaffirming its position as one of East Africa’s most trusted and ethical private security companies.

The global recognition cements SGA Security’s leadership in professional and human rights–compliant security operations, setting a new benchmark for responsible business practices in the region.

SGA Security Group CEO and Chairman Jules Delahaije said the achievement reflects the company’s unwavering dedication to ethical conduct and community trust.

“This ICoCA recertification is a strong validation of our commitment to responsible security business practices. It underscores our dedication to the highest ethical standards, ensuring that our operations respect human rights while delivering services our clients and communities can trust,” Delahaije said.

The recertification highlights the growing international emphasis on accountability and transparency in private security operations, a sector that plays an increasingly vital role in Africa’s economic and social stability.

With more than 55 years of experience and over 19,000 employees, SGA Security provides tailored protection services to governments, multinational corporations, diplomatic missions, and individuals across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, while supporting clients in other parts of the continent.

SGA’s membership in ICoCA aligns with its core values of quality, discipline, loyalty, and integrity. The company also holds ISO 18788 certification, the highest international standard for security operations management systems — further demonstrating its commitment to professionalism and compliance.

Over the years, SGA Security has evolved from a regional service provider into a continental powerhouse, delivering world-class, cost-effective, and rights-respecting security solutions. The ICoCA recertification not only recognises the company’s achievements but also reinforces its mission to shape the future of ethical security in Africa.

“Security is not just about protection,” Delahaije added. “It is about responsibility, respect, and partnership with the communities we serve. That is what defines SGA.”
